daylogish: the fifteenth of August, two-thousand and ten.
(seriously nothing interesting)
This week (as in, the weekdays, so far) has been filled with adventure, many bus rides, and lots of walking. I’ve kind of forced myself to MOVE and just fill this… last week with as much as I could, even though plans were hastily thrown together, and at times, there were no set plans. I think, this single week in itself has changed me, from last Saturday to now. The reality of some things are starting to sink in, but rather than have myself sit at home and mull over things, I threw myself out there, ehehe.
There was a very nice grandmother in the home today when I woke up, except she has memory problems, and the whole time I thought about it, it just broke my heart, neh. My grandmother had to watch over her, because she kept trying to leave the home to go look for her children (who had gone to work), or to return home. I had a behind-the-wheel session for Driver’s Ed and suffered attempting parking in parking lot stalls. Other than those moments, where I was just irritated like crazy at my teacher, the rest of the day was nice.
Bus to Ala Moana, beach timeeeeee! Katherine, Ray, Kat, Becca. Becca didn’t swim though. I think I’m sunburned. The three of us had a kind of vicious game of marco polo (ohoho my weak swimming ability), that was pretty fun. The water was cool. The bottom was rocky. It was a battle, hehehe. We goofed off until 4:30pm and then Kat drove us over to Ward, where we had some adventure in the parking lot, as Kat was missing a contact… Then we bought tickets for SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD (5:20pm showing), meeting Maya, Renee, Alyssa, and Nick.
Then it was like PEW PEW LET’S GO IN (5:17pm) and then it was like WHOA SO MANY PEOPLEEEEEEE so we had to split up (-teartear-), but at least we all got seats somewhere, no one completely alone, not incredibly close to the screen. Pretty soon after began the wonderful 2 HOURS of silliness. I was amazed at how it just… all looked, hahaha. Quite entertaining. And some things were just cute. Lol, I loved Kim too, I liked the song for Clash at Demonhead (lolll), and a whole lot of other stuff. Really enjoyable, to me, though I laughed at so many things. Oh, I also like Wallace, lollllll. What a friend.
The adventure finished, and I was smiley and just happy about it, and then we decided to go to the Old Spaghetti Factory, and we ate! Strange conversations going on on the other side of the table, hahaha, whatever. Me and food? Ehhhh. College talk? Ehhhh. It was nice and we sang Happy Birthday to two people who turned 18, woohoo.
Thennnn, our adventure came to an end as we walked back to the parking lot, and I got my backpack, and we said our goodbyes, and everyone went home. I got a ride with Katherine and our parents ended up talking, so we got home close to 11. While I hung up the wet clothes and things to dry in the garage (around 11:05, I believe), the door closed. When I finished, I tried to open it to go back into the house… AND IT WAS LOCKED, GAH.
And so, for five minutes, I pounded on the door, called for my mother and grandmother to get me out. I was contemplating opening the garage and going to the front door to ring the doorbell, but then I could hear my grandmother moving around, so I shook the doorknob more, and then I heard her yell WHO IS IT in Ilokano, and I was like GRANDMAAAAAAAAAAAAAA and she let me out. Thank goodness. I didn’t want to face the dark, ehehehe.
And here I am on the computer. Lovely day. Thank you guys.
opened this morning, and thank goodness everything went well. My cell phone alarm went off at 5:30 am, and I hit snooze, drifted for 5 min, waking up completely when my father came upstairs and asked “Why are you sleeping like that?” and started petting the cat sleeping on the chair. I had my cell phone in hand, smashed under a pillow so the darn thing wouldn’t be so loud when it went off a second time, hehe.
Sooooo sleepy. I don’t even know what I did for those few hours besides showering and stuff. Taylor was super crazy and running around and jumping on everything this morning. I ate those… fruitalicious? swirly looking Trix. Those boxes were on sale at Don Quijote so we got some. So sweet! And my milk changed colors, goodness. Of course I’ll share that stuff with the Trix Rabbit!
I was already anxious when I turned on the computer, and in the last fifteen minutes before 8:00 am hit, I chatted with Kat (we’re in this together, yeah!). In the last 5 minutes I opened iTunes and just put Anamanaguchi on repeat, YEAHHH. That scared away the fear and made me excited, pumped, ready to get the thing over and done with. I’m still listening to them now, hehe.
Once I saw the computer clock change, I clicked SUBMIT CHANGES, freaked out a little bit when it asked for PIN (thank goodness Grace you gave me a way to remember it, hahaha), but got through it. Major worries, gone! Yes!
The question now is if I should still go in and take that Spanish placement exam next week and take a Spanish course. Well, that also depends if there are any spaces left open afterwards… But we’ll see! 16 credits right now!
I don’t know, but I feel ready for this! Anamanaguchi is making me feel like it’s all going to be okay. And you know what, I think it will be!
Best of luck to those registering later (:
SCOTT PILGRIM TOMORROW, and I am VERY MUCH looking forward to it!
La la la, TAH TAH!
Listening to and singing (the verses of) Written in the Stars from Aida constantly, making phone calls and stumbling over the easiest words, browsing Tumblr, watching Doctor Who, reading The Neverending Story, falling asleep while trying to review chemistry, pondering possible schedules and classes (AND DORM LIFE!), occasionally spending an hour or so playing with sisters, stringing beads on thread that I hope will not break, freaking out about technology that acts up, decorating boxes, “fear-plus-love”, trying to ignore awkward silences, suffering in this weather, spending too much at Ben Franklin’s.
Due to my lack of recording what I have been doing over the past few weeks, you get a list-like thing. There was Justin’s grad party, Jump Start at UH, Joy’s grad party, Sam’s birthday dinner, some family friend’s birthday/grad party. Becca’s birthday/grad was also in that time frame, but that day was busy, haugh. x_x I’m sorryyyyyyy. Hm. I dunno if I want to go back and write about things, ‘cause I don’t really have any pictures.
Anyway, please tell me,
What is your favorite Disney song to sing to?
And I, I don’t know if I want to go to sleep yet. Mmm, Fourth of July. I guess it was kind of sad not doing stuff with friends (D:), and I felt especially so when I was actually watching a fireworks show with my family. Sitting on a mat amongst tons and tons and tons of strangers, all looking up at the same cloudy night sky, I could only think, goshdarn, I wish I could have been there with you guys. Or that you guys could have been there. Something like that.
Man, the fireworks were so beautiful tonight. Even though the clouds were eating up the stars and the rest of the night sky, the fireworks definitely came through and gave us a new kind of STARFALL. In previous years, they didn’t strike me as much, they didn’t make me think they were so special. I mean, I thought it was pretty cool in past years, going home along the H-1 and looking to the sides and being able to see the fireworks going off in the distance, little explosions of color on a darkened, toy-like landscape. I guess I paid too much attention in past years to the small things, like watching only little parts of the aerials rather than looking at the big picture…. And once you look at things from that greater perspective, everything FITS, and everything makes more SENSE, and today, it clicked for me, and I really just love the fireworks.
Even though I couldn’t quite get over the fact that the fireworks really weren’t quite in time to the music…. Gosh, they were so beautiful. The happy face ones were just plain adorable, in time to Taylor Swift’s love story… and goodness, I love the ones that linger, the ones that sparkle and fall, and leave streaks… STARFALL. BEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL STARFALL. Even if those twinkling stars are pink. Even if the streaks kind of look like snakes. And even though those fireworks are supposed to be blue… they look PURPLE to me. <3 Oh, and the two colored, like… I dunno, normal ones, that are just like FWOOOSH, well, the red and white one immediately made me think GIANT POKEBALL IN THE SKY. Yup.
Even though the smoke has lodged into my lungs and is presently giving me hell (box of Kleenex at hand), I loved it. Big picture, big picture. And nighttime in open fields, even with strangers, is just plain peaceful. Michelle Branch playing wayyyy before was pretty peaceful, too, even though I started hearing in her voice a similarity to Vanessa Carlton, in that everything starts sounding too alike after a while… There was some guy totally out, lying down in the grass as the crowd walked rapidly past out to the parking lot, after the grand finale was over-with. Silly, but kind of nice to see that, a relaxation amongst chaos (a race to leave). Of course, someone brought up the idea that he probably drank too much… -shrug-
Even though I don’t remember clearly, I do remember going there for Fourth of July a time ago. Kind of cool. I ate Strawberry Cheesecake ice cream from Ben and Jerry’s (because that was the first food place we saw when we got in there), and I have decided that I don’t like that as much from them because even though I like… the thickness of their ice cream, and their strawberries, I don’t like the graham part. Too.. crumbly -weirdtexture-. Augh.
I have 2 more episodes of series 4 of Doctor Who to watch before it is due on Tuesday. I have all the collected volumes of the Runaways comics that the state library system has on hold and ready to pick up (as soon as it is no longer a holiday TT_TT). I want to go shopping, seriously. I feel like it. Kind of. Augh. Not happeningggggggg. I’m overloading with the idea of having full Saturday’s this month. I dunno. I need to go to sleep, because I’m overloading on thoughts.
It would have been nice to spend today (yesterday?) with you all.
Goodnight Tumblr. It’s nice having you here.
LEARN TO DRIVE. -coughcoughcough- I think this also includes a “renew permit” prerequisite as well as a “get glasses frames readjusted because you’ve slept with them on too many times so the frames are a little bent out of shape” prerequisite. Oh and I guess I need to find a teacher. I think.I have made progress relating to this! Meaning, permit renewed, attempts in a boring classroom, and behind the wheel. Uh. Yeah. Nothing done to these glasses, though… Finish (the story part at least) of Professor Layton 2!Story part made me cry! The puzzles are still frustrating me out of my mind, though, especially the ones where you slide the blocks around, and the tea ones. I’m missing an ingredient TT_TT.
- READ TONS OF MANGA YEAHHHHH. Fry my brains. [CONTINUING! ish.]
- WATCH TONS OF MOVIES (I have not watched sooooo many and I want to, esp those ones that everyone is supposed to have watched like the Titanic. And Star Wars.) AND TV SHOWS. YEAHHHHH. Fry my eyes. [Uh, I still haven’t watched Titanic. I have been watching lots of… anime and Kdramas and Doctor Who @_@]
- LEARN TO COOK SOMETHING! YEAHHHH. Fry my fingers (teehee)
- Return all the things to people I need to return… namely books from senior project time, uh-oh.
- Before #6, read all the relatively understandable biochemistry portions of the books from senior project time. And the guides to creating a happy healing environment. I can’t remember the phrase I need…
- Make use of beads! BE CREATIVE AGAIN! -sigh- I need to find my pliers. And my box of findings. Where oh where could you be… PLUS, I must somehow get crimping pliers. And figure out how to use them. 8DDDD
- FILL EACH DAY WITH LIFE! And fill each day in my Moleskine every evening, rather than weeks later. I need to catch up ;_;
- Clean face! Clean mind! Clean language! Clean room! -coughcoughchoke-
- Improve piano playing skills! Disney songs only! Lolol, jk. [Presently adding 90’s music to this =_=]
Practice the violin often and memorize pieces for last recital. -teartear- (Not jk.)It was interesting, nehhhh.
- Eat less snack food. Or… eat less gross snack food. [Attempting to finish the food from grad and Aloha Concert leis…]
- Read the things that are piling up, like A Tour of the Calculusand Paolo Coelho’s El Zahir (which is in Spanish) and the issue of People magazine that was bought at the same time that is also in Spanish,
Twenty Love Poems and a Song of Despairby Pablo Neruda, and I still need to finish Mark Haddon’s A Spot of Bother.OOOOH, this is going to be painful. Finish Voltaire’s Candide and do some analysis, kind of, and write down quotes, along with other books borrowed from the library. Try to read Por una dia mas (missing accents), also in Spanish.
- DRINK MORE DIHYDROGEN MONOXIDE, mmmmmmmmm.
- Review chemistry! -lovelovelovelovelove- [TT______TT]
Play Starfox on the Super Nintendo LOL and not fail on the easy path in the first few levels. -sigh-Not accomplished, just given up on. X_X
- …Exercise? D:
- Fix… wardrobe through visitation of the mall? Help meeeee? DDDDDD:
I dunno, some things freak me out and I am so lazy and set into routine… AUGH! Whatever. MUST. MOVE. ON.
Fair Friday [end]
Wooooohooo. After a nice walk to Briana’s car we decided things and went off on our ways. (: Renee gave us pictures (thank youuuuu!) and… and I don’t know, silliness. 8D Oh rest of the MOB, I dunno how you guys can go on those late night adventures… =P
It was fun. I resisted eating ice cream. I want ice cream now.
Final ride count:
Zipper (x2), Fireball (x2), Super Sizzler (x2), Spring Ride (x1 … actually 2), Wave Swinger (x2), Cliffhanger (x2), Bumper Cars (x1), Traffic Jam (x1), Ferris Wheel (x1), Mini roller coaster (x1), Dragon (x1), Tilt-A-Whirl (x1), Pharaoh’s Fury (x1), Dizzy Dragons (x2), Merry-Go-Round (x1)
I think that is all. I still did not lose my voice, arghhhh!
I had a great time, guys. -dances- 8DDDDD
Fair Friday [winding down/games/rides]
We rode the Wave Swinger, the Cliffhanger, the Super Sizzler, and Dizzy Dragons (again). Woohoo. I sang Capital H and Attractive today and just… kept myself energetic. D: No more scary rides then. Then game time, and Grace wanted to play that… shoot the ball thing, catch it to win a unicorn. She ended up with a banana, haha. I am crap at carnival games… =D I tossed a bunch of rings at bottlenecks (imagine me throwing a frisbee; still complete FAIL, hahahaha), Renee got one of those giant inflatable sticks, threw darts, shot at a star… It was interesting XD Then we received news that Sarah was feeling better and it was like YESSSSSS.
Renee, Sarah and I rode the Zipper again. Lollllllllllll, that time I was screaming, I hate you Sarah! because she was rocking the damn thing. Even scarier when you have more people. And hotter, too =_=. Nice things: chatting with the people in another cage when you’re stuck at the top. Sarah yelled “Have a nice life!” Heehee. Uhm… everyone was all pooped out and I went and rode the Spring Ride ‘cause I love that thing. Except everyone else on the ride were little kids and I… I must’ve looked really silly. WHO CARES, I had fun. Maybe the next time I go to Cali I’ll have the courage to ride the Tower of Terror =_= and that other thing. And all those roller coasters. It’s all about the mentality!
Soon after that (around midnight) we shuffled outwards and we took pictures with flash of Sarah sitting on the curb on the bridge, haha. I tried to take a picture of the moon, but that failed. And Grace and Phoebe had blinky star thingies, yargh.
Fair Friday [stomach cooldown?]
So, we wanted to take it easy ‘cause we just ate. The four of us went, Becca… went to get something and then disappeared forever more D: So, Ferris Wheel. There was this couple taking pictures in front of it. So weirddddd.
That thing moves pretty quickly, haha. Grace screamed I LOVE YOU a few times. Her words of love carry their way across the Pacific… And it’s always fun to say weird things when you pass the bottom of the ride and the people waiting for it to finish.
The rest of this account is mixed up. I don’t know if I’m remembering this wrong or not XD
We met up with the others between that, I think. We rode the mini coaster (I laughed like crazy. In fact, I laughed like crazy on so many of the rides, except the Zipper. That one was just complete screaming). We tried to ride the mini coaster at the same time as Jacky and Briana, but that just didn’t work out. =/
Somehow we got a Jacky in our party and then we rode the Tilt-A-Whirl and then the Dizzy Dragons. Blue #1! So… crazy spinning. -laughshisterically- We then lost Jacky and rode the Merry-Go-Round, and though Sarah wanted to sit in a sleigh thing she got plopped down on a horse. Grace chose a huge one, and Sarah did weird things with the pole… -cough- People in line looked at us like we were crazy, hahaha.
I know we rode the Dragon sometime after that, which was much more fun than it looked. I know we went through Traffic Jam at some point (nyarharhar), and I don’t remember, but we might have ridden the Cliffhanger after that. Flying! Grace the dragon. And Sarah took our stuff and sat down by the place with the jumping dogs. Then everyone appeared and we watched for a while and then we wandered off yet again, Grace, Renee, and I. -cont-
Fair Friday [eating!]
Eh, fair food is so expensive. I gave in and just ate a Teri Beef burger (yayyy) and drank some Mountain Dew. Augh, soda, maybe not the best thing for riding rides. Especially since it looks like pee =_= Lolll. Sarah had her loco moco… swimming in gravy. (: I know Becca had a steak plate and Renee had a pizza… I dunno what everyone else had, lol. They were fighting those flying bugs (termites?).
Ignore my face.
Grace ate Dippin’ Dots and her nails. And now we know whyyyyy Grace loves her phone so much, hahahaha. ;D
Becca left soon afterwards, and we were divided into two groups, nyahhh… Then, more ride silliness! -cont-
Fair Friday [ride ridiculousness pt 1]
So we started with the Zipper. Well, four of us did. XD;; Sorry guys. Nothing like facing fears and getting into those rocking cages first thing, mannnn. Me + Renee, Grace + Sarah. Poor Grace. XD I’m pretty sure I screamed OH SHIT at least 3 times on that ride and FUCK YOU PHYSICS once. Sorry Renee, and sorry to you people who don’t expect me to swear that much, haha. Becca took those Zipper pictures. (: Document that… crazy experience.
I swear that was the scariest ride at the fair.
We rode the Super Sizzler after that (ohhh, those darn rides that squish you), and then battled it out at the bumper cars, and stared at some cute little animals afterwards. While they rode the Music Express, I gave into my hunger and went to get some curly fries, but they didn’t have any. So I gave in and bought onion rings and ate them with Phoebe and Taylor while the others went round and round in a swirly vortex of doom. (:
Sarah wanted to ride the Inverter after that… which I also wanted to ride, because the night was FORGET ALL FEAR OF RIDES, TRY EVERYTHING for me, but then I… was afraid of my stomach giving up on me so we went to the Wave Swinger instead, which made Sarah feel sick. =/ No pictures at this point, =/.
We rode the Pharaoh’s Fury after that. Becca and Sarah took the end (omggg) and I sat with Renee and Grace close to the middle. Silly silly, freaking out over the bar not clicking before the ride started. And then, gotta love Grace screaming throughout the whole ride, even though they typically do the one-side-yell-when-up-in-the-air thing. =D
I rode the Fireball twice after that, once with both Sarah and Renee, then once with just Renee, at the very end. Pooooor Sarah, not feeling well. D: That ride… not as scary as I thought it would be. When the lights started turning on and the sky went dark, I realized that you could focus on the track and it… was soothing. Not that bad. I only yelled OH SHIT once. Being upside down… Just results in a test of strength. No wonder I am still in pain, three days after. =D Haaaaaa, so fun.
Some of the seniors from when we were juniors were there, and without my glasses I had a hard time recognizing them, haha. Interesting.
We looked for the others afterwards, around the game area. YAY darkness and all the fair lights being on. Eating time… -cont-
Fair Friday [begin] (:
After going to the dentist and hearing the sweet, sweet news that I… am missing teeth (lol, lacking WISDOM, yeahhh and some molars 8D;;)… I got dropped off at Pearlridge and walked around with Renee, Kat and Becca (joining their little partyyyy). F21, Taco Bell (for Becca’s burritos, 8D), Borders, Book Off… Kat left afterwards (boohoo). Renee, you took a LOT of pictures, even just then.
Then the three of us took the bus, YAY, and waited on the bridge at the fair entrance until the others arrived. First Grace (amazing fishtail braids!), then Sarah and Jacky (panda jacket, open mouth! and TALLNESS!!!), then Phoebe and Taylor (8D teehee…), and then Briana (oh why oh why do I not have any pictures of your beautiful face D:). We got our wristbands and then CRAZY TIME YEAH!
I guess that’s kind of my fault that we started it off crazy. =P -cont-
Walking places is always fun with you guys, even if I have to do it backwards or if I nearly get hit by little kids on bikes. I didn’t realize it was such a long walk home…
Not that that means anything special is happening, haha. (:
Goodness… I woke up at 7:20 am today, meaning 7 hours and 20 minutes of sleep. Eh, you could say that I’m used to getting less than that amount of sleep, so that’s why I still wake up early, but I think it’s just because I’m really easy to wake up. The other day my sister was playing the piano downstairs. Today my dad was using the computer (ohhhh, why do all the computers have to be in my rooooom, lol) and making calls. -shrug- If you talk to me when I’m asleep and tell me things that, when awake, I would start worrying about (AKA school and the future), I’ll wake up. And panic. And think “thanks a lot =_=”.
Anyway. Hm. My sisters are both gone. My parents rushed off to work. My grandma went to clean the garden.
So I, after spending time before breakfast playing Disney songs and other printed out sheet music on the piano without my glasses on (oh goodness my poor eyes), was left with the dishes to wash, the table to clean, and the floor to sweep/steam mop.
I dunno if I just am super slow in washing the dishes or if there really were just a lot of them and a lot of stuff on the table, but I got through the entire Commit This to Memory (Deluxe Edition) CD before I finished. And then I got through the entire Two Lefts Don’t Make a Right CD by the time I finished everything else.
Now, throughout these tasks, I sang at the top of my lungs every lyric I knew. (:
Though I did have to leave out “hell” and “fuck”… Haha.
My cat, throughout all of this, sat on the living room table and watched as I struggled with the cord for the steam mop.
And somehow Ocean Eyes is missing its case. I need to find that. On a plus note, I found my giant whiteboard from a couple of Christmases ago from Briana 8D Yayyyy, I can re-organize myself now. (:
What a day.
Oh, by the way, since the house is now relatively clean and tomorrow will be similarly uneventful, if you want to come over, you can. lolololol =_=;; Save me. I would have planned the thing for Friday… But Friday is a holiday! I totally didn’t remember!
Series 4 of Doctor Who still hasn’t come in. GRRRRRR… Oh well. I have a lot of stuff to read. And do. Though I don’t really want to.
"But I’m getting better at fighting the future / Someday you’ll be fine / Yes, I’ll be just fine."
Ohhhhhh summer. <3
